Snow has begun

to fall in the mountains.  You can see the summits being swallowed by clouds, grey and heavy with flakes ready to descend.  The white caps both beautiful and foreboding of the winter soon to come.

Autumn has commenced retiring and the once green leaves are departing from their branches, blanketing the ground.  The sweet crispness the air held beforehand is disappearing and being replaced with an unforgiving briskness.

But for now, the snow and leaves will fall, untroubled and in concert with the other.   One offering a sweeping farewell, while the other an untempered declaration of arrival.
